Formula for Becoming Wealthy

A Proven Formula for Becoming Wealthy
On Friday, January 26, when Sharjeel called me from Lahore, he was so thrilled that he forgot to ask about my well-being. He said excitedly:
“Brother, I’ve just bought a shop worth 32 million rupees!”
I asked, “Where are you right now?”
He replied, “In Karachi, but I’ll be in Lahore in two days. Please call me when you arrive.”
I agreed. Honestly, I felt a deep sense of satisfaction at his success.
The Turning Point
Ten years ago, Sharjeel had completed his Master’s degree (MSc), but due to family circumstances, he desperately needed a job or a business. One day, he came to me and said:
“Brother, give me a solid, practical solution so I can stand on my own feet.”
After careful thought, I said,
“I am going to Islamabad in three days. Come with me.”
We went to meet an elderly friend of mine, Qazi Sahib, a man of wisdom and spiritual insight.
We told him about Sharjeel’s situation. He listened calmly, then said:
“Sharjeel, you seem determined. Do two things: start a small business, and secondly, make Allah your business partner.”
Sharjeel and I exchanged surprised glances.
Qazi Sahib continued:
“This is the work of real men—only those with unshakable determination can do it. Dedicate 5% of your net profit to Allah’s cause, and never cheat in this. Your business will grow day and night, beyond your imagination.”
The Beginning with Only 1000 Rupees
I thought Sharjeel might not follow through, but to my surprise, he did.
It was the year 1997, and he had only 1,000 rupees.
Without borrowing from anyone, he bought five children’s suits and displayed them on a shared stall in Anarkali Bazaar.
In two days, he made a profit of 300 rupees, and from that, he gave 5% (15 rupees) in the path of Allah.
He continued this process—buying more suits and giving 5% of his profit for charity.
Within six months, his 5% donation rose to 75 rupees per day, which meant his daily income had reached 700 rupees.
After a year, he was donating 150 rupees per day, and after three years, 5% amounted to 300 rupees per day.
In other words, his daily profit had grown to 6,000 rupees.
He left the stall and rented a shop.
The Present Day
When Sharjeel called me recently, my first question was:
“How much do you give as 5% nowadays?”
He replied:
“Around 1,000 rupees per day, which I distribute among the needy.”
This means his current daily income is around 20,000 rupees.
He also told me that he has never cheated in his “business partnership” with Allah.
The Wisdom of Qazi Sahib
Qazi Sahib had said:
“When you allocate a share of your income to Allah’s creation, your business will always flourish—provided you remain humble and free from arrogance.”
He was absolutely right. There comes a time when one wonders how much of their wealth is being distributed for free, yet their wealth keeps growing.
He explained that this formula was passed down from spiritual elders and has never failed—not even once.
Examples from Around the World
We often use the phrase: “Growing day and night” when describing success. Let’s look at the world’s wealthiest people and their habits.
1. Oprah Winfrey
The 51-year-old TV host is worth $1.3 billion. She donates $100,000 annually to orphaned and underprivileged children—and her wealth continues to grow.
2. Silvio Berlusconi
Former Prime Minister of Italy and one of the world’s top 10 wealthiest people, owner of the famous football club AC Milan, with a net worth of $10 billion. He donates nearly $50 million annually to poor countries—and his wealth continues to grow.
3. Bill Gates
The founder of Microsoft, often the richest man in the world, has a net worth of $96 billion. Through his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, he donates $270 million annually to humanitarian causes—and his wealth continues to grow rapidly.
4. George Soros
A famous Jewish billionaire with a net worth exceeding $10 billion, donates $100 million annually to charitable organizations—and his wealth continues to grow.
The Secret of Jewish Wealth
Whenever the topic of wealth and power arises, it feels incomplete without mentioning the Jewish community.
Only 10 million Jews control 60% of the world’s wealth, while 6 billion people share the remaining 40%.
Moreover, 90% of the world’s media and financial institutions are owned by Jews, including:
-
IMF
-
New York Times
-
Financial Times
-
Washington Post
-
CNN
-
Fox TV
-
Wall Street Journal
-
AFP, APP, and Star TV networks.
The reason for their extraordinary wealth is that for thousands of years, Jews have strictly followed the principle of donating 20% of their income to charity.
A Pakistani Example: Munshi Muhammad
In Pakistan, there is the inspiring example of Munshi Muhammad, who was extremely poor. He decided to dedicate 4% of his income to charity.
He started selling fabric in the market and consistently gave 4% of his profit to the needy. Gradually, his business grew. He set up a power loom and soon became the owner of a factory.
He continued his charitable contributions and eventually built the Munshi Muhammad Hospital in Lahore at a cost of 40 million rupees, which was inaugurated by General Zia-ul-Haq.
A Lesson from the Time of Prophet Musa (AS)
It is narrated that during the time of Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him), there were two brothers who could barely afford one meal a day. They requested Prophet Musa (AS) to pray to Allah to grant them their share of sustenance all at once so they could eat to their fill.
Their prayer was granted. They ate well but, fearing spoilage, distributed the remaining food among people.
The next day, they were again provided with sustenance. This cycle continued daily.
When Prophet Musa (AS) asked Allah about this, Allah replied:
“Whoever distributes in My name, I multiply it tenfold for him. Since they are giving daily, I am giving daily.”
Allah’s Promise
Allah says:
“Whoever gives a single dirham in My name, I give him ten. Whoever feeds one hungry person, I feed him ten times over. Increase your sustenance, do not decrease it.”
The Proven Formula for Wealth
This is not hearsay but a reality:
Whoever gives even 5% of their profit in the path of Allah becomes wealthy in no time.
Final Message
This formula has worked for Sharjeel, for Munshi Muhammad, for Jews, and for billionaires like Bill Gates.
Why not for you?
Make Allah your partner. Start with 5% or 10%. Never cheat. Stay humble. Watch how your life transforms with blessings, opportunities, and success beyond your expectations.
